BUSINESS ADMINISTRATOR LEVEL 3

BUSINESS ADMINISTRATOR LEVEL 3

Together, we can grow your business

Strong administration is the backbone of every successful organisation

AN INTRODUCTION TO THE APPRENTICESHIP

Our Business Administrator Level 3 Apprenticeship is a work-based learning programme designed for individuals already working in roles that include administrative, organisational or business support responsibilities.

Learners develop their knowledge and professional skills while continuing in their role, allowing them to apply their learning directly within their organisation.

Some of the topics covered throughout the programme include communication in business administration, managing business information and data, stakeholder and customer relationships, financial processes, problem solving and improving business processes.

People working in administrative and business support roles play a key part in keeping teams organised, managing information and supporting the day-to-day running of an organisation. This apprenticeship helps learners strengthen their confidence, organisation and communication skills so they can contribute more effectively within the workplace.

For employers, this means developing capable professionals who can support stronger processes, clearer communication and more organised business operations.

What does this apprenticeship develop?

Through the Business Administrator Level 3 Apprenticeship, learners gain the practical knowledge, skills and behaviours required to support business operations and contribute effectively within an organisation. Learners develop the capability to:

  • Communicate professionally with colleagues, customers and stakeholders
  • Manage business information, records and documentation effectively
  • Organise workloads and prioritise tasks to support team efficiency
  • Support projects, meetings and administrative processes
  • Contribute to problem solving and continuous improvement within their role

By strengthening these core administrative capabilities, organisations benefit from improved organisation, stronger internal communication and more efficient day-to-day operations.

Administrative professionals play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of any organisation. The Business Administrator Level 3 Apprenticeship helps employers develop employees who can manage information effectively, coordinate processes and support teams across the workplace.

Because the programme is delivered through work-based learning, employees develop their knowledge, skills and behaviours while continuing to perform their role. This means new skills can be applied immediately, helping businesses improve organisation, communication and administrative efficiency.

Investing in apprenticeships also supports staff development and retention by providing employees with structured professional development while strengthening the organisation’s internal capability

If you’re already working in an administrative role but want to feel more confident, organised and capable in what you do, the Business Administrator Level 3 Apprenticeship is designed to help you take the next step.

This work-based programme helps you strengthen the practical skills you use every day at work. From managing information and supporting projects to communicating professionally and organising workloads, the apprenticeship focuses on the skills that help businesses run smoothly.

Because the apprenticeship is completed alongside your job, you can apply what you learn straight away. Many learners find they become more confident in their role, better organised and more capable of supporting their team and workplace.

Whether you want to improve your performance in your current role or prepare for greater responsibility in the future, this apprenticeship helps you develop the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to succeed in a professional business environment.

Our Business Administrator Level 3 Apprenticeship is delivered through flexible work-based learning, allowing learners to develop new knowledge and skills while continuing in their role.

Training is delivered remotely using Microsoft Teams, with monthly tutor-led sessions introducing each module. After each session, learners complete an assignment designed to apply their learning within the workplace.

Learners are supported throughout the programme with regular one-to-one tutor support, helping them develop their knowledge, skills and behaviours.

Every 8–12 weeks, a progress review takes place between the learner, their employer and the tutor. This ensures everyone stays up to date with the learner’s development and how their new skills are being applied in the workplace.

Alongside the core modules, learners also complete wider learning topics including:

• Equality and Diversity
• Prevent and British Values
• Safeguarding
• Employee Wellbeing
• Managing Professional Development

Once learning is complete, learners progress through Gateway before undertaking their End Point Assessment (EPA).

Apprenticeships are designed to support organisations in developing their workforce, with government funding available to help cover the cost of training.

If your organisation pays the Apprenticeship Levy, the cost of the Business Administrator Level 3 Apprenticeship can be covered through your levy funds.

For organisations that do not pay the levy, the government will fund 95% of the training cost, with employers contributing the remaining 5%.

To be eligible for the Business Administrator Level 3 Apprenticeship, learners must:

• Be currently in employment
• Have the right to work in the UK
• Have lived in the UK for the past three years

If you are unsure about funding eligibility or how apprenticeships work for your organisation, our team will be happy to guide you through the available options.
