My knowledge, skills and confidence have significantly grown over the course of this apprenticeship. When I began the programme, I was only six months into a new role, and my understanding of governance was still developing.

From undertaking this apprenticeship, I have gained a strong foundation of knowledge and practical skills, and I now feel confident in my capability to carry out my role effectively, something I didn’t have before.  My tutor, Zoe, has played a key part in this. Her support, guidance and encouragement have helped me to dig deeper, recognise what I know, and believe in my own ability. Now, instead of second-guessing myself, I think about it more and ask, "What would Zoe say?", this enables me to reflect, apply my knowledge and make informed decisions independently.

I am now much more articulate in how I communicate my governance understanding, and I recently had the opportunity to feedback how much I have grown back to Ofsted. This was a valuable experience that has further strengthened my confidence and self-belief.
