The programme has significantly supported my development by giving me a strong understanding of health, safety and environmental management while allowing me to apply my learning directly within the workplace. It has helped build my confidence, improve my communication skills and develop my ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders across the business.

I have gained knowledge of health and safety legislation, risk assessment processes, incident investigation, auditing, environmental management and occupational health. The programme has also helped me develop practical skills such as problem-solving, project management, reporting, presenting information and influencing positive safety behaviours. 

The apprenticeship has allowed me to apply my learning every day. I've supported audits, carried out risk assessments, improved safety communications and signage, led safety-focused projects and worked with different departments to implement practical improvements that benefit both safety performance and employee engagement.

I would highly recommend this apprenticeship. It is a great opportunity for anyone looking to build a career in health, safety and environmental management. I'd like to thank my trainer Jo for supporting me throughout the programme, always being approachable and willing to provide guidance whenever needed. Jo’s feedback and encouragement has helped me develop both professionally and personally, giving me the confidence to take on new challenges and continue progressing in my career.
