DESIGNATED SAFEGUARDING OFFICER LEVEL 3

DESIGNATED SAFEGUARDING OFFICER LEVEL 3

Together, we can grow your business

Develop the Skills to Keep Others Safe

HOW WILL OUR COURSE BENEFIT YOUR BUSINESS?

Whether your organisation operates in education, health, social care, or the voluntary sector, safeguarding is a shared responsibility — and this course ensures your team has the confidence and competence to fulfil it. This qualification is ideal for individuals in support or administrative roles with safeguarding responsibilities. It equips them to identify and respond to signs of harm, work effectively with safeguarding teams, and promote a safe, supportive environment for children and vulnerable adults. With the addition of a Level 3 Designated Safeguarding Lead (Adults or Children) qualification and CSE Awareness training, your team will be even better equipped to protect vulnerable people and meet your organisation's safeguarding obligations.

New for 2025: Trauma-Informed Practice Module

We now offer the opportunity to integrate trauma training into the programme, with a focus on making the content bespoke to your organisation's needs. This optional module explores:

  • Trauma principles and how these apply in workplace settings
  • Professional curiosity and how it enhances safeguarding practice
  • Risk minimisation and how personal experiences may influence risk perception
  • Vicarious trauma — understanding how those in 'helping roles' may be impacted by past or present trauma
  • Psycho-education on how the brain responds to threat (fight, flight, freeze)
  • The Window of Tolerance and recognising dysregulation
  • Tools and techniques to support movement from dysregulation to regulation

These elements are especially valuable for staff working in environments where emotional demands are high, helping them stay grounded, curious, and responsive — not reactive — in their safeguarding responsibilities.
